Loren is the Principal of Furman Political Strategies, and brings over 21 years of experience in government, public and regulatory affairs. Her expertise in a diverse number of policy issues includes: energy and environment, taxation, health care, labor and employment, tort reform, manufacturing, economic development, telecommunications, insurance and business regulation.
Since 2008, she has worked as the chief lobbyist for the Colorado Chamber of Commerce. This role involves managing the Chamber’s engagement on State and Federal legislative and regulatory issues, and serving as the spokesperson for the organization.
Loren previously served as the Legislative Director for the CO Department of Personnel and Administration and worked with the Governor’s Office and General Assembly on state workforce issues. In Jan. 2002 – Sept. 2005, Loren worked as a lobbyist for Floridian Partners on behalf of a variety of clients that included municipalities, businesses and trade associations with legislative, budget and regulatory interests. Prior to that role, Loren worked in the Majority Office of the Florida House of Representatives.
Loren serves on the Board of the Partnership for Accountability & Transparency in Health Care (PATH), and previously served on the Board for the Colorado Civil Justice League and as Board Chair in 2014. She also served on the Vital for Colorado Board of Directors, Coloradoans for Responsible Energy Development Board of Directors, and the Colorado Association of Professional Lobbyists Board of Directors. She previously served as the private sector Co-Chair of the American Legislative Exchange Council (2013 & 2014).
Loren was named as one of Colorado’s Most Influential Women: Up and Coming by the Denver Post in 2012, and was named a Top Business Newsmaker, Denver Business Journal Power Book Awards in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Loren holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Florida State University.”
