NLWL is a non-partisan professional league for female lobbyists, with a vision and mission to create a cohort of high-powered female advocates for the purposes of building connections, extending business opportunities, and breaking down barriers between lobbyists affairs.

Aimee Grmoljez
Aimee is a Partner and chairs the firm’s Government Affairs Department. Since 2001, she has advocated for clients in matters of governmental affairs and litigation. Aimee joined the Crowley Fleck law firm in 2009 and as a partner specializes in lobbying, procurement and grassroots lobbying. She is a member of the State Bars of Montana and Colorado and is currently the Past Chair of the Montana Chamber of Commerce Board and has been on the board since 2010.

Nicole G. Nystrom
Known for her strong business sense, legislative strategy development, and regulatory and lobbying successes, Nicole G. Nystrom is the founder and president of Midwest Strategy Group. She previously served as Director of the Government Policy Department for Dykema Gossett PLLC. In this position, Nicole lobbied before the Michigan Legislature, regulatory agencies, and the Executive Office specializing in issues involving appropriations, procurement, economic development, energy, financial services, gaming, health policy, and tax.

Inzinna Consulting focuses on the individual needs of each client. Karyn currently serves on the advisory council of the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Commission. She is past chairman of the Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum Foundation. She is also a member of the Mississippi Economic Council and the MS Association for Non Profits.

Angelia Smith Owens is President of KMSO. She offers over 30 years of experience in the field of public policy and the South Carolina Legislature. Angelia is known for her quick and keen insights into state laws and legislative actions and the people who mold them.

Kate Wood Hall has worked in Kentucky politics and government for over 12 years and has been a member of the Commonwealth Alliances team for over two years. Prior to joining Commonwealth Alliances, she served as former Governor Steve Beshear’s Legislative Liaison and Director of the Governor’s Office of Legislative Services.

Lacee Bjork Anderson received her Law Degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 2004. Since working her first political campaign nearly twenty years ago, Lacee has put her relational and legal acumen to work for her clients.

Suzanne Budge comes from a pioneer family with deep political roots in Idaho. Her commitment to Idaho policy and politics stems from a four-generation family history of public service which includes a Supreme Court justice, a congressman, and a father who as a long-time Idaho Republican State Senator served as Senate President Pro Tem, and chairman of the transportation committee.

Whitney Campbell Christensen
Whitney represents clients before the North Carolina General Assembly, where for more than a decade she has evaluated, drafted, supported,
amended, and opposed legislation in accordance with client needs. She serves as the Raleigh office's Geographic Team Co-Leader and heads the
firm's state legislative efforts.

Haley Faulkenberry
As a partner at A&A Advocates, Haley Faulkenberry excels in the area of Executive Lobbying. Haley has extensive experience working with Oklahoma's state agencies and a strong understanding of the unique relationship between agencies and the Oklahoma legislature.

Garin Vorthmann
Garin began her political career in Washington D.C. working for Senator Wayne Allard and ran the government affairs department at Colorado Farm Bureau before joining Colorado Legislative Services in 2007. She became partner at CLS in 2012 and effective January 1, 2023, she will become co-owner of CLS alongside Melanie Layton.

Mary Kay Roberts is a Partner in the Firm who specializes in government affairs. She works with a broad range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, banking, insurance, education, technology, telecommunications, and utilities. She also recently formed a coalition of the state’s blood banks. Both a lawyer and a lobbyist, Mary Kay manages the Firm’s office in Trenton.

She's a New Mexican native who has made a commitment to the high desert mountains of her beautiful state by continuing to strive to make it a better place for all those who live and work there.

Deb Peters
Deb Peters is a former member of the South Dakota Legislature, serving in both the House of Representatives from 2005-2011 and the State Senate from 2011 to 2019. During her service in the Legislature, she served on several committees, including Chair of the Joint Appropriations Committee, both the House and Senate Government Operations and Audit Committees, House Judiciary and House Taxation Committees.
